Manticore DA Complete

The Final Mythical Creature I made(For now). Bwa ha ha ha ha!
Okay serious time. 
This creature was extremely difficult to get down. And it was because of only one reason. The head. When I was pondering about this idea, I thought of how all animals in the world have purpose all over themselves. As in, from how they look to their habits, there's a reason for it. I decided that would be a great way to design the Manticore. So I asked myself, Why would an animal have the face of a person?
The answer I came up with is to lure people to eat them. Which was fitting since Manticore is suppose to translate into Man-Eater. The main problem I was having was the face can't be too big, because then no one will believe its an actual person. But I couldn't make it too small because this creature had to have the ability to swallow someone whole.
And after numerous revisions I finally came up with the idea by flipping through my Animal book. The turtle. I found out how exactly the turtle pulls it head inward and pretty much from there I designed using his body as if it were the shell and the face being the opening of it.
For the most part I stuck to the legends and just made sure not too stray from it.
But now that I think about it, to lure prey maybe it should've been a woman face but that would be a sphinx. Well, let me know what you guys think and if you have time, a critique. Thanks!
